Upgrading AssetUPnP on a Windows Home Server

To upgrade to the latest version of AssetUPnP use the following procedure:
  1. Start the Windows Home Server Console
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select AssetUPnP from the left hand listview
  4. If an update is available a button will be shown in the top right of the AssetUPnP settings page.
  5. Click the Update button!
  6. Once the update has been completed the Windows Home Server Console will close, re-open the Windows Home Server Console and select AssetUPnP in the Settings
  7. Click on the Edit button next to Advanced Settings
  8. Click in the Restore Default under the Browse tree to ensure all menus are displayed correctly.

Note: The update will preserve the registration status of AssetUPnP

If the update button does not work follow these instructions (may be required for early 1.x version updates)

  1. Download the latest Windows Home Server installation file of AssetUPnP from www.dbpoweramp.com and save in the software add-ins folder on the Windows Home Server (on a ripNAS this is \\ripnas\Software\add-ins).
  2. Connect to the Windows Home Server using Windows Remote Desktop
  3. Once connected via Remote desktop click on Start | All programs | Control Panel | Add Remove programs.
  4. Uninstall BOTH instances of AssetUPnP listed.
  5. Start Windows Home Server Console
  6. Click on Settings
  7. Click on Add-ins
  8. Click on the Available tab
  9. The downloaded version of Asset should be visible, click Install
  10. Once the installation has been completed the Windows Home Server Console will close, re-open the Windows Home Server Console and select AssetUPnP in the Settings
  11. Click on the Edit button next to "Advanced Settings"
  12. Click in the Restore Default under the Browse tree to ensure all menus are displayed correctly.
